We all have a role to play in protecting
Earth’s natural resources
2008 Brazil Day Festival’s goal is
to promote cultural and natural conservation and to inspire people to
care about our planet by Thinking and Acting Green today!
Don’t miss the opportunity to visit and to participate in the ThinkinGreen Experience Pavillion. On your way in you have a chance to see and ask questions about new technologies in vehicles that are economically and ecologically friendly. You will learn from the “101 Ways to Save Money by Saving Mother Earth” display. You will also be able to show your enthusiasm in “coloring the world”, by covering the painting of an old run down area with refreshing pictures of nature, at the DARE to DREAM display.
On your way out you will want to make
a commitment to make a difference in our community by replacing the
“IT’S NOT MY PROBLEM” world view with your touch of love,
covering it with the I CARE stickers.
Each one of us is responsible in making our community the best community in the world. As someone has said. When people unite in action, change does happen!
So, gear up and start ThinkinGreen
today!
Small contributions will be accepted to benefit the humanitarian causes being supported by this event.
It is easy to remember ThinkinGreen
by using 3 R’s: Reduce/Reuse/Recycle!
Recycling of Aluminum Cans:
Reliable Recycling Center of Frederick has generously agreed to bring to the Baker Park a large container to collect aluminum cans. The profit of the sale of these cans will be used towards the humanitarian causes chosen to be benefited by the event.
Collect all the cans you can and bring
to the park and dispose of them at the container which will be placed on the behind the ThinkinGreen
Pavillion, backing to the tennis court fences.
Recycling of Clothes & Others:
Goodwill Industries has kindly agreed to bring to the Baker Park their collecting truck to receive any and all contributions of clothes, shoes, household goods, etc. Be creative – anything that you cannot use and you think that someone else can be benefited from, bring to the Brazil Day Festival and deliver to the Goodwill truck, which will be parked behind the ThinkinGreen Expo.
